crisp autumn days paper leaf garland

Leaves are such a fun thing to play with. There are so many pretty colors and shapes!

I made this paper leaf garland using my Silhouette. ( I love that I can cut my own designs - really cool! ) I chose some pretty patterned papers, added a couple of cute tags, and, with the help of some teeny tiny clothes pins, a garland was born!

The tags are from my lettering design. I drew the words in ink, scanned them in, and then worked some computer magic.

It's unbelievable that September is here. This past winter seemed to last forever, but spring and now summer have flown by. Time to squeeze in one more season before Old Man Winter returns. At least Fall is a great season for decorating!

corrugated cardboard topiary

Do you have any old cardboard laying around? A few empty cardboard boxes that you're saving? You can make this pretty fall topiary using some of that cardboard - I love creative recycling!

The process is simple, but the results are stunning. Add a touch of sheet moss and a pinecone to the top and you have an autumn centerpiece for your table!

halloween printables

I guess all of my doodling pays off. Between last year and this year I now have a nice collection of cute Halloween illustrations. Enough that I was able to put together a printable sheet. I made up some samples using them to spark your imagination.

I printed mine out on a solid sticker sheet, but you could print them out on card stock as well. You can cut them out and use them for tags, envelopes, cards, treat bags - whatever you can think up!

You can find them at my Etsy shop, here. By the way, my kids came home from school and wondered why there was candy (I don't buy it often). I told them I needed 'props' for my product shots. They were mighty happy to hear this! :-)

paper feathers garland | made from recycled magazine pages

I have a large pile of pretty pages that I tore out and saved from magazines and catalogs. I just can't get rid of any paper that is *eye candy*! I whipped up a bunch of paper feathers.

This morning I made a garland using the feathers and hung it above my art table. Perfect!

I will be making more recycled paper feathers to sell in my Etsy shop because I still have a large pile of pretty pages to use! :-)

map flower wreath

I'm always looking for fun things to create using paper. ( And nine chances out of ten there will be flowers involved somehow! ) This pretty wreath has flowers made from map paper. Just round up an old folding map, assorted large flower punches and a foam wreath and you're good to go!

I doubled my flower layers, mixing up the shapes for a nice blend of assorted flowers. I added flat backed crystal gems to the centers. The gem colors match the map colors and add a bit of bling without being overwhelming.
