I have a jewelry box that belonged to my grandmother. I've had it in storage for several years and I recently got it out to use it. The thing is, it looked old and wasn't very attractive. Thus - the jewelry box makeover!!!
A few coats of primer and Krylon white satin spray paint did the trick! I added some Japanese Washi tape for color and my jewelry box is now very... Patty. :-)
I hope this inspires you to look at things differently. You can always add your personal touch to things and add new life to them!
I love the fact that this jewelry box belonged to my Grammy. When I was a little girl I used to look at all the jewelry that she kept in here. Now, many years later, I have my own jewelry stored inside. Maybe someday I'll have a little granddaughter to look through it! :-)
Very pretty, Patty, and an easy one to do, too. My mom had a jewelry box just like this one and she gave it to my daughter. Unfortunately, there's now a big hole on top -- but who knows, maybe tape would cover the hole. Thanks for the inspiration! Sharon

I like what you have done to your jewellery box. I will have to look into what washi tape is!

I love what you did with the jewelry box! I love the look of the washi tape on it. I hope it's okay I just had to feature it in my jewelry box makeover round-up. You can see it here:

Just found this on Pinterest. Love, love love this. I have an old jewelry box similar to yours, and it's showing it's age. I was wondering if I could paint it and now I know I can. What kind of paint did you use? You said Krylon spray paint, is it special for leather or vinyl? Am definitely doing this to mine!!!!
