This idea came to me in the middle of the night last night, as a lot of my ideas do! I wonder why that is?
This is a very simple craft project and it requires only a few supplies.... clothes pins (mine are painted white), jute twine, assorted small buttons, a hot glue gun, magnets and tiny branches. The fruit tree trimmings are still laying out in the yard so I just ran outside and picked up a handful. You can snip tiny branches from just about anything, just use the tips so they have a 'finished' top to them.
Here is my midnight epiphany - bitty branches and blossoms clothes pin magnets.....
I cut the branch tips to varying lengths, all under four inches. I wrapped them together, about five per bunch, and tied a knot using jute twine.
Then I used mini glue dots to attach small buttons to the branches. You can do any color schemes you'd like. I kept mine similar on each magnet.
I hot glued my branch bunch onto the clothes pin. When that cooled, I added a magnet to the back.
Easy peasy!!!!!
They would make a cute spring gift for someone - or for yourself! Enjoy!
beautiful, colorful, and so imaginative !!
bravo j'adore //*o*\\

Love this idea. Only thing I'd do different is maybe paint my clothes pins a brown...so they'd blend in with the branches more.

great idea from handmadenotions!
just shows you how you can take an idea and make it your own!
thanks for sharing!!!
(by the way, my refrigerator is white, so my white clothes pins blend in and the branches *pop* - whatever is best for your situation - be creative and make it work for you!!!)

CUTE! :O) I would love to do this. And the background sure is cute ... is that scrapbook paper, and did you just use it for purpose of taking the picture or is it actually part of the craft too? I was thinking maybe you attached the scrapbook paper to a refrigerator or other magnetic surface? Have you seen the idea about making cute magnetic boards by decorating cookie sheets? I haven't made it yet but am definitely wanting to!

I'm in love with this idea. Do you need to treat the twigs, or do you leave them au naturel? :-)
