Yay! I love everything in that photo--I think I have every single one of those things tagged as favorites on my Etsy page! : ) This year I am honoring the "handmade holiday" theme. I am making LOTS and LOTS of mini albums as gifts. (But not the one I bought from you...I'm keeping that one to load with my treasures!). Some of the albums will be completely filled and some of them will be decorated and ready for the receiver to fill with their own photos. My hope is that is that they love them as much as I loved making them! Thanks for a great giveaway, and CONGRATS on the 700th post-WOW!

This year has been an insanely stressful, and at times downright scary, one. When I lost my job in June, we didn't know what was going to happen or where life was going to lead us. Thankfully, we were so blessed just a couple of weeks ago when my husband found a better job that will be able to provide fully for us, which lessens the pressure on me to find something that may be less than ideal. This new job will also allow us to move back home, into the house that I grew up in. Until now, it's been just a weekend retreat / fixer upper. It finally seems like months of worry and stress are easing, and while the next few weeks will be crazy with our big move, we will finally get to where we want to be in so many ways.

Because of all that, I want to honor my husband by getting him the monster size Craftsman tool chest combo that he has been wanting for so very long. Now that we will be in our old farmhouse full time, he'll need to have easier access to his tools than what he has now. While anything material is really just a meaningless token compared to what he, and we, have conquered this year and in the past few years, it is something tangible that I can give to him to let him know how much I appreciate him and all that he does for us. I am so very blessed.

Hi Patty! Love your blog..it is so nice that you are doing this giveaway.

This year I had a hard time deciding what to get for my husband, but I think I found the perfect gift. I have booked a 2 night stay for us and our three little boys to stay at a nice hotel in Ocean City, NJ so we can join in the First Night (New Years Eve) celebrations for the very first time. It will be a big surprise and I am going to print something up and have my hubby pick a scroll out of his stocking which he will have to read to the boys. I am sure they will all be so excited to go..I can't wait to see their faces!!

well first of all congrats on 700 posts!! it's been great getting to know you through them and watching your kids grow up too - even if it is just through this little blog window ;) it's been fun!

and the giveaway looks awesome...everything that you have done with your shop is impressive - and I'm really proud of you for taking that leap and getting it going - you had done such a great job.

as for gift giving...need to think about this a little more - but one homemade thing I'm doing for a few of the kids in the family are silhouette ornaments - which reminds me i need to bug some parents again for some photos :)

congrats again patty!

700 Posts...that is great !!! There is a woman that comes to my mother in law's house every year for Christmas and brings my boys money. No idea as to what to get her every year. This year I am taking Amy's card class tonight and decided I would give the card's and bag they come in to her. Of course, I will have to make myself a set of these cards also !!! Have a GREAT Thanksgiving Patti !!!

700 posts is incredible! congrats.

I am doing a few handmade things this year. An album for my daughter and her new husband, handknit socks for a few other family members, a handknit lace cowl for my Sis in law.
No Clue what to get my husband or brother yet.

700 posts is amazing!
Your blog is beautiful!

I'm making a couple scarves for Christmas this year, and some cards for my Mom. I have a couple other projects too...I just love handmade gifts!

Finally came to your blog from your etsy shop. I love those little houses in your giveaway. Congratulations on 700 posts! This year I'm giving my parents a day out with me. They are getting older now and I don't spend as much time with them as I'd like so I'm taking them each out for a day ~ my mom to a garden show and my dad to an art museum. It's really a gift for me too!

these would be perfect for my Dec daily !!

Congrats on 700 posts. I have purchased the year ring. I haven't used it yet, but I'd get another one if you used different color bead.
I work at a 3 employee gourmet store. So I will not have much time off. Therefore, my husband brought the Christmas tree in and set it up Monday. I decorated it on Wed. Last year we got it up, but not the year before.
We no longer live around family, so we have very few gifts to buy. My sons are now adults so no handmade gifts for them. Can't wait to have daughter-in-laws.
Last year I sent my mom 6 gift cards from Panera Bread with a different Christmas card with each one. She loves their potato soup. I think this year she wants from different fast food places. She lives in a cold weather state, a couple years ago I sent those things you strap on shoes for walking on snow or ice.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

Julie

Congrats on the 700th post! Impressive!!!! This year I'm trying to make most of my presents myself, i.e. pyjama pants for my sister in law, rice therapitic mask for my other sister in law, knitting a few scarves... I haven't started yet so maybe I should!!!!!

Congratulations on reaching 700 posts! I love your office Christmas tree.. clever idea to make it with an office necessity! I am thinking of making one and spraying it lightly with green paint. (I am a traditionalist - trees need to be green. :0) I am making several cute washcloth reindeer as gifts, as well as a batch of jingle bell moose ornaments to give away. I do love the Santas you have put up as a prize.. nostalgic Santas are my favorites! Hope you have many, many more great posts!
