whew
The post-Christmas letdown. Gets me every year. I look forward to Christmas, but it's always so busy and seems to go by in a rush. I feel as though I have jet lag for days after. ;-)
Christmas morning was nice... I woke up to two little people poking me in the arm and asking if they could get up....
Ben got what he's been asking for since the summer, a Ben 10 omnitrix....
Ben and Todd played with the new laser tag...
My husband blew me away this year. All I wanted was a pair of brown slippers, which he did get me, but he handed me another bag - it had some weight to it- and I was totally clueless as to what it could be. Are you ready? (I can't believe he did this, but....)
He bought me a digital SLR camera! I was astounded. Now I have to learn how to use it!
Two pictures from Christmas - my two little nieces (and these are taken with my old faithful 'point and shoot' digital camera)...
my niece, Aubrie, pulling everything out of the diaper bag until she found something that looked interesting...
my niece, Lily, and Todd's dad...
so cute!
I made a bunch of stuff and I took pictures of most of it. On the food-related front, I made cookie trees on lollipop sticks, filled a bowl with Styrofoam and sugar and stuck the sticks into the Styrofoam, then added pine cones for a little forest of cookie trees.....
I made albums for some family members.....
And I made these for some other family members....
I stitched homespun fabric into a triangle leaving an opening to stuff the trees. A wooden dowel is inserted into clay which I sprinkled with diamond dust to look like snow. Some icicle garland and ornaments with the kid's faces - cute Christmas tree mementos!
And this I made for my gram and poppop. I used a coin holder....

and the inside as you flip it open
Now.... I'm off to get ready for company for dinner. :-)
