Finally... I got to play around with Flickr and make a mosaic of my faves this evening....
1. Dream colors, 2. Cherry Blossom Way, 3. Le vieux Québec, 4. Sunshine, 5. The closed window, 6. reflection Ⅱ, 7. Morango + chocolate, 8. i can taste summer! a.k.a. childhood summer! a.k.a. childhood reminiscence! a.k.a. those were the good times!, 9. white and snowy scents, 10. broken, 11. kitchen love, 12. natural history, 13. The best wishes in 2008 for you !, 14. Benches, 15. a cold winter morning, 16. oOo.Orchid.oOo
So much fun to look at pretty pretty pictures. And it was neat to see them all grouped together. Hmmm. I notice lots of color. Flowers, yup. Nature. It's neat how even though these were taken by other people the grouping reflects me. Go try it! :-)

and this is Wii....
Totally cool.
Setting ourselves up as players is more fun than the games I think. Okay, maybe not. But it was fun and Todd had us all laughing when he was making us... Sarah had a goatee and I had a huge cucumber nose and - you get the idea! Yes, Ben is wearing glasses because he is Ben Potter. (The eyes look funny on this picture because I had a hard time taking a picture of the TV screen.)
We went bowling and played golf in the living room tonight. I've never been much of a *video game* player, but Wii rocks. :-)

Hi there!
I hope everyone had a wonderful, blessed Christmas! And into the new year we go in just a few days.
I have some pictures to share. Starting with this one. It was a close call as to whether or not the tooth fairy would have to hitch a ride with Santa. As it turned out, she visited Sarah a few days before Christmas....
It was down to the wire as usual for me with getting it all done. I did... other than one gift. Would you believe I ran out of adhesive? I owe my one brother and his wife their yearly family album.
I took pictures of my work before everything got wrapped. For my sister-in-law Kim, I used the clear box package that Making Memories storage jars come in to make a Christmas decoration. I have a picture of the kids in front of the tree across the back of the box. A Heidi Swapp 'together' stamp is on the front of the box and the bottom is filled with snow (diamond dust)....
the *snow* was such a neat addition...
For sister-in-law Amy I made a scrapbook in a tin.
She is getting mighty close to baby's due date and with this all she needs to do is add pictures and journaling. I saw Tia Bennet use the clam shell packaging and it was such a great idea that I had to scrap-lift. So, there are seven 'pages' in the tin, four large and three small....
There's an area on the front for the picture and on the back is a spot for info and some lines for journaling...
For my parents, I made a 2007 album. Two years ago Amy was cleaning her office and she gave me an outdated Making Memories product catalog book. Inspiration finally struck and this is what I came up with...
I ran the black twill to cover the 2005 date on the front and spine of the book. The inside...
I love how Ali Edwards used the clock overlay in her Christmas album so I scrap-lifted that idea...
The inside is separated by chipboard dividers for each month and a short and full size page is in each section....
Grandma got a simple set of pictures of the kids. I found these cubes with the words live laugh love and a clip at the top of each to add a picture...
My brother Doug and his wife Leann got a gift that holds pictures from the beginning of their old stone home restoration. Last year, Sarah got a set of doll house furniture and it came in this really neat wood box that I had to save. It was purple, so I painted it white....
And turned it into this...
The peak has a photo of the stone on the front of their house...
The cavity of the wood box holds a Making Memories distress kit box that I covered with a picture of the before and after of the floor in the house. There was a small space along the side of the box and I used a Prima flower glass bottle and put a picture of Doug and Leann inside....
And I finally found a home for these tool embellishments that I've had for years! The Mr. Fix It seemed so appropriate....
Aren't they cute?! When the box is removed you can see the 5 x 7 photo of the front door of their house on move-in day back in April of 2006. I have dated envelopes in the box that contain all the pictures that I've taken since day 1.
Two more pictures to share. One blurry shot of the kids on Christmas morning. Santa brought HUGE BIKES! for the kids ( That's what I woke up to.... Mom! Santa brought us HUGE BIKES!!!! ). Sarah's bike was so small that when she rode it her knees went up past the handlebars and Ben was still riding this little toddler plastic chunky thing, so I guess bikes that are the right size for them do look huge in comparison to the old ones....
And finally, I have to show you the newest member of the family, my niece Eva.....
Phew! That is all. :-)

.....It's going on 11 p.m. Christmas Eve.
The children are snuggled sound asleep in their beds.
The husband is sound asleep and snoring on the sofa with one of his favorite movies on the TV - A Christmas Story.
The dog is sound asleep curled up in a ball in Sarah's bean bag chair.
I am waiting for the buzzer to beep on my oven so I can get the cheesecake out.
I have to wrap presents for the family get-together tomorrow at lunch time.
I have to make peanut brittle for another family get-together tomorrow night.
Then, I can also go to that wonderful sound asleep place. ;-)
Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!
Patty :-)

To my head, that is. More gray hair.
The kids got Christmas goodies from friends in school and when we got in the door and got coats off and settled in, we opened the bags and dumped everything out on the table. Ben had a marshmallow something-or-other. Sarah had a Hershey kiss. I was going through folders and checking papers. Ben asked if he could have one of the Lifesavers candies that he got. Sure. Next thing I know he's screaming that it hurts and you could tell something was wrong. He took a drink of water right after he put the Lifesaver in his mouth and he swallowed the candy whole.
Heart in throat. Adrenaline coursing through system. Stay calm.
My first thought was okay he's breathing he's breathing. Can you breath? Yes. Calm down. Breath slow. Am I gonna die? No. You're breathing....it just hurts until it goes down.
I call the doctor's office quick and they tell me to have him drink some warm water and they stay on the phone with me. Time passes and it hurts less. He's okay.
I'm better now.
THANK GOD.
I have always avoided giving hard candy to the kids because I was afraid they would choke. It can happen so quick. Today I thought, okay, he's almost six, I'll let him have one. And today my boy was mighty lucky. He (and Sarah) are not getting any more hard candy until they're 52 years old at least.
Santa better bring the extra large bottle of Roasted Chestnut Brown #28B.
