The Halloween spirit was alive and thriving in our home tonight. The kids were busy painting the wooden dolls and costumes that they got from Tante Kimmy.
Ben, doing a lovely job on Frankenstein.....
Sarah, the pretty princess dress...
the final results.........
Sarah did top row. Obvious, isn't it? Pinks, purples, girly looking.
Ben did the bottom row. Notice the creative evolution of Frankenstein. He got a little carried away with the mixing. And of course, the boy doll is wearing a Steve (from Blue's Clues) shirt and browntan pants. Browntan. How many of you have heard of that color before? If you wear khaki colored pants your wearing browntan pants. A must for the proper Steve attire.
We cleaned up that activity and moved on to the pumpkin carving festivities.
Here is my husband performing his yearly tradition of carving the pumpkin. Now, when I got my camera out to take some pictures he gave me that your-not-gonna-take-pictures-of-me look. He was napping on the sofa prior to this and his hair was messed up. Did you get that - his hair was messed up and he didn't want me to take a picture of him because he might look silly. So what does he do?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. (I told him I was going to post this picture. I said Uncle Ryan needed a good laugh when he checked my blog.)
Tomorrow is trick-or-treating for the kids. They're so excited about it. More Halloween pictures to follow. :-)
I will be sure to tell uncle ryan to look at the blog tonight. hee hee!
