that I've had to pry open my dog's mouth and retrieve something from inside. The most unusual occurrence was today. She chomped a butterfly in mid flight. I pried open those little teethies and got the beat-up butterfly out and would you believe it flew away?! That's one lucky butterfly.
So far I've pulled the following out of her mouth...
tissues, an Oil of Olay facial scrub that missed the garbage can, a squash seed, grass, mulch (every time she comes in from outside she grabs a piece before we come up the steps), strings, stuffed animals, shoes, plastic tags from garden vegetable packs (Todd had them in the garden to mark what was what), did I say tissues?, paper,
okay this is just too funny
I just went out to the other room to see what Sophie was up to because she was awfully quiet and this is what I encountered as I came around the corner
I guess I also need to mention paper towels, (notice the perfectly lovely puppy chew toy laying right behind her - what's that they say about kids playing with the box instead of the toy?) chunks of fabric from her fuzzy blanket, plastic straw wrappers, tissues, rocks, her leash, my bathrobe tie, roots, sticks, Polly Pocket clothes, a Polly Pocket boot, a jewel from something of Sarah's, shoe strings from the shoes on my feet, tissues, socks, Fred from Scooby Doo, my bedroom slipper and tissues. I'm sure there's something I'm missing........ :-)
******added****** See, I did think of a few more things.... a Peter Pan sticker, a toy fishing pole, the living room curtains, a towel, (shhhhh, don't tell Ben: his Buzz Lightyear), and since I typed this at supper tonight, another squash seed (I made squash for supper and apparently a few seeds got behind the garbage can when I scooped the guts out) and ANOTHER tissue from the pocket of my coat which was hanging on the dining room chair.
